Bwenda Washed - Rwanda

Owner Bernard Uwitije of Bwenda was a local coffee trader in the southern Nyamagabe region of Rwanda when he noticed isolated farmers lacked a nearby washing station. With his honed skills in washed coffee processing he opened not one, but two washing stations and continually works at being supportive to the coffee farmers to supply excellent quality coffee.

This is a beautifully clean and smooth coffee, balanced in texture, acidity and flavour. Creamy cooked stone fruits with vanilla and honey tones.

Did you know - there are many small holder farmers producing amazing coffee but lack the support to get their coffee processed and exported to a wider audience. This is where people like Bernard can step in with investments to support the local communities.
